 Department of Interventional Cardiology provides advanced diagnostic tests and treatment for problems as common as a bout of chest pain (Angina), as serious as heart attack (Myocardial Infarction) and as rare as Tricuspid Atresia. The Invasive Cardiology offers treatment for Coronary Artery Disorders, using Angioplasty, Stents, Laser, Ultrasound techniques etc. Our sophisticated Cathlabs and advanced technology offer unmatched outcomes in various cardiac ailments. Team of dedicated and highly skilled interventional cardiologists perform coronary and peripheral angiographies, balloon angioplasties, stenting, EP studies and ablation, pulmonary and mitral valvuloplasties and other interventions.
Kidney Transplant Paramount Medical Centre, has one of the finest equipped and most successful renal transplant program and dialysis centre in the region. Transplant surgeons of our team are the most experienced having overall experience of more than 50 Kidney Transplant surgeries with excellent success rate comparable to western world standards. Surgical Procedures


For patients having a surgical procedure, after being admitted to hospital you will have some basic observations taken and recorded. These observations include, temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure and weight. You may be visited by your Anaesthestist in your room or in the ‘pre-op’ area (which is the Operating Theatre waiting area). Your Anaesthetist may also ask you to provide details of:

  • Any previous operations?
  • Tablets or medication are you taking?
  • Any adverse reaction to any medication you have taken?
  • Any past or present medical problems?
  • Any family history of medical problems?
  • Any previous anaesthetic problems?
  • Do you smoke?

You may have a physical examination. The condition of your heart and lungs will be checked and further tests may be requested, eg. chest x-ray, electrocardiogram (heart tracing) or blood tests. Your Anaesthetist will discuss with you what type of anaesthetic he/she thinks is most suitable to your condition, eg. General Anaesthetic, Epidural, Spinal, Intravenous Sedation.

Maternity Services

A full maternity service is offered with antenatal classes for parents leading up to the birth, one on one midwifery care during and post labour, along with education and support for the initial care for your baby and specialised lactation assistance for new mothers. We also conduct a Well Baby Clinic that provides continuing parenting education and support during the first twelve weeks after you leave the hospital.

Our Maternity UNIT (32beds) provides top quality maternity care through our obstetricians and midwives. Our delivery suite delivers, on average, 1500 babies per year. 23% of our deliveries are done via Caesarean Section. The ward is midwife-supervised and our Mothers are relieved to find the environment not only courteous and friendly but also one that is nurturing. Our Mothers-to-be are very appreciative of the orientation received, the explanation of the procedures that they will have to go through and the care that is taken to ensure that there is an understanding.

The Maternity UNIT has a fully equipped maternity ward, neonatal care unit and a private wing with self contained rooms. These services are offered by a multidisciplinary team comprising of; 1 fulltime obstetrician/gynecologist, 3 medical doctors, and 20 midwives.

 The ward has enjoyed a 99% satisfaction grade for several years now, with our patients outlining that their expectations have been met and in many instances surpassed and assuring us that they will be the first ones to recommend to friends of the services received.
